Get ready for this amazing enslaught of beauty, color, sounds and stories. On Sunday, May 15, 2016, the Ao Dai Festival IV will re-create time-honored traditions of Vietnam in a bold, new vision. Showcasing the ao dai costumes of internationally acclaimed ao dai designers, Khanh Shyna, Duc Hung, Calvin Hiep, Chau Nguyen, Hulos and Ao Dai Chi Silk, this show-stopping extravaganza celebrates Vietnamese Art and Culture like no other.
Festivities commence at 5pm in the Circle of Palms, Fairmont Plaza with the introduction of “Sơn Tinh, Thủy Tinh“, a festival ceremony complete with horse and carriage, ao dai models, drummers, stilt walkers and dragon dancers.
A cocktail reception and Designer’s Promenade kicks off the evening gala. The Fairmont‘s Imperial Ballroom opens the formal dinner program with the premier of “Sơn Tinh, Thủy Tinh“, a musical storytelling of ancient Vietnam, followed by an exciting live auction. For dessert… guests will be treated to a dazzling show of never-before-seen ao dai designs from traditional styles to modern interpretations. This cross-cultural journey with roots in both Vietnam and America brings an evolving high-art to new mainstream audiences.
