Ao Dai Walk 2016
We invite you to join us in downtown San Jose on May 15th wearing your Vietnamese Ao Dai to celebrate the Fourth Biannual Áo Dài Festival, “Sơn Tinh Thuỷ Tinh.”
We encourage everyone of different backgrounds, ages, and genders to come dressed in your Ao Dai’s to participate in the Ao Dai Walk. The parade will begin at the Cesar Chavez Park and move to the Circle of Palms where our audience members will witness a spectualuar production introducing the evening show, which is loosely based on the stories of Sơn Tinh Thủy Tinh and Trương Chi Mỵ Nương, mythological tales of love, beauty and conflict
The Ao Dai Walk is a FREE event, open to the public and begins at 4:30 pm with an outdoor spectacle at the Circle of Palms in the Fairmont Plaza. The extravaganza will showcase the colors of an Áo Dài procession and a dragon dance, the sounds of taiko drums and zithers, and more, particularly traditional Vietnamese court costumes.
